I’m supporting the “I QUIT” campaign because I believe in creating happy, healthy, and productive workplaces. That means building organizations where people are engaged and happy to be working towards the goals of an organization. Both the physical and emotional health of employees is important.
Like many people, I work at my desk and sometimes don't get up until the sky is dark. Some days, I don't even eat my lunch. So this year, I decided to do something about it while supporting a great cause. I'm going to join other quitters to support the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health.
This year I'm going to quit "sitting" so much. I'm going to be more active. That means I'm going to go for a walk, use my treadmill that is gathering dust in the corner, and park a bit farther away from my clients and the grocery store! Will you support me by making a donation to help support the work of the CAMH and to help build awareness about this "silent illness"? Better yet, will you challenge me, and support a great cause by signing up as a company, set up internal teams, do some team building, and create a sense of community and social purpose at work?
Thanks very much, Joanne
P.S. Your donation can be anonymous if you wish.
